this is measured by megabytes not a number of MP3's, the K700's memory is 41 MB but I guess you get less because of predefined items

atul,
Well I have managed upto 10 songs under the 128kbps/44Khz format..
Incase you want to store some more then I would suggest you convert the mp3 into 112 kbps/44khz format using dbpoweramp, this way there will be a 25% decrease in size of the mp3 and minimal distortion...

My songs uploaded were

1)Tumse Kitna Pyar - Altaf Raja -OST-Company
2)Lose Yourself- Eminem - OST-8 Mile
3) Power of Goodbye- Madonna
4) Aaja Nachle- Bally Sagoo feat.Hans Raj Hans
5) Your're my heart- Modern Talking
6) Forever is not enough for my love- Live- OST-Mummy Returns
7) Here I am- Bryan Adams-OST-Spirit
She'b Loved- Maroon 5
9) Kirpal Crank Call - Kick my dog
10) New York Taxi Sardar

If you want more music on the K700 tray acc. This will give dubbel the amount of music at the same space, without losing quality. Inncode in Mpg4 I think. I did it with iTune and got more than 1h. stil having a lot of space left. This message was posted from a K700i

Simply convert it to MP4. You can use Nero Wave Editor. Quality is same, but avg size is 1,5 MB. Only thing is that you can't use mp4 for ringtone, but for that purpose cut a refrain of certain mp3 song...

Hey! Try this:

If u have Nero, encode the files in mp3PRO @ 64kbps ~ 80 kbps... it is not as good as 128 kbps MP3, but the file size is smaller by 50% and the quality is better than a 64kbps regular MP3...

mp3pro sucks, because the k700i hasn´t any mp3pro decoder onboard...so basically, you won´t get any advantage in converting you mp3s to mp3pro, they´ll sound like normal low bitrate mp3´s. Mp4 is the best way to have music in the k700i, without doubt

Actually no - predefined items are not part of the 41mb memory.
k700 total memory is something 44-48 mb (cant remember the exact number) - and you get 41mb free usermemory when you get the phone.
