Hy! Computers can do it, so can P900 do that? For example Mobile PC, or some other Microsoft OS for phones?
???

No! I'm afraid phones aren't quite there yet. The closest thing to that so far was puting p910 FW on an p900.

Nicer interface is debatable, it's a matter of taste I suppose.
As far as OS is concerned I've heard Windows are still pretty unstable (not really a surprise) and that there's still a lot of freezing and such.
I know this doesn't help much, but perhaps you'll find some consolation in the fact that most people still trust Symbian more than Windows.

Oh, I didn't knew that thing about Windows. But my Symbian p900 freeze when it works witi some aplications that are unstable (eg. Opera: I use Opera a lot, but sometime it reports some error, than, when I try to open it again it freeze, and I can't open anything, call anyone, and can't turn the phone off.). Solution for interface is to find nice Windows Mobile PC theme ;-). Do you know where to find such theme (that really looks like Mobile PC OS)?

im sure you could get it to boot linux - you can boot it on ipod's; then the pX00 really would be a mobile pc in the truest sense

Of course, it's possible to have any OS on the P900, really... you just have to get someone to compile and target the code for the P900's hardware.
I can't really see any advantage to installing Linux on a phone, especially since almost every program would require some kind of reprogramming to be usable. Symbian is a pretty good OS, well suited to small, mobile devices... you're better off sticking with it!

Why re-code Symbian stuff to work on Linux when you could just install Linux apps? Audio/Video players, telnet clients, browsers etc etc
