> Bluetooth Dongle

Hi all, today I juz bought my first bluetooth(BT) dongle branded D-Link DBT-120.
It looks like this :
And after all setup and config, I started to use it...
Here r some questions, hope tht u can help me, thanks.
1. The BT Dongle has 2 LEDs. One named "PWR" and one is "LNK". When I start to use the bluetooth(not in transfering file mode yet), the "LNK" LED keeps on blinking but the "PWR" LED is lit with a stable light... Is tht normal?
2. When I am transfering files, BOTH the "LNK" and "PWR" LED keep on blinking....Is these normal again?
3. When I stop the Bluetooth device from the programme(named My Bluetooth Places), BOTH the "LNK" and "PWR" are lit stably... Is it OK?

If the dongle works and you are able to transfer files without any problems then I would assume that the LEDs are behaving normally. Are you actualy having a problem with it?

@scotsboyuk, I am not sure, because I wouldn't know whether it has problems or not as we can't really MEASURE or CALCULATE the speed with a METER!
Anyone has the same LED condition with me?

If you are able to establish a connection and transfer files without any problems then I would suggest that your dongle is indeed operating correctly. I don't think you need to worry about the LEDs.

Try to transfer a 1Mbyte file to/from the phone. If it takes about 45 seconds, you have the same performance as most people (i.e. 20-25kBytes/s).

The dongle seems fine mate, I havent got the same one as yours but, mine's always flashing when sending or recieving files.

"LNK" for Link?
Does it mean tht it is finding some devices to pair/link with? So it must be linking all the time?
And "PWR" would be Power?
Hey, anybody is using this D-Link DBT-120? Give ur words pls... Thx~

The LED is no doubt flashing to notify you that a link has been established.
I might suggest that the user manual for the dongle might explain all this.

At the risk of repeating myself I am quite certain that your Bluetooth dongle is absolutely fine and is working the way it should be. I am also quite certain that the LEDs should flash the way they are and that there is nothing wrong with them.
