The search on here is annoying me so i hava few questions to aks ........

Background

I have a P900 but i have damaged the screen, the insurance company say that the p900 is discontinued so i get a p910 for £25 excess. Great

So ..... please only answer these if you have used the p910 or know for 100% fact

1. Can i use my P900 Backup on the P910 ?
2. What do you get in the box ? ive read differing reports
3. What are the main changes between the two ?
4. What are the differences in battery life?
5. When was it released ?

Thanks

I'm in UK

1. Can i use my P900 Backup on the P910 ?
I would think so but I did a clean install and just re-sync'ed with Outlook for my Contacts/Calendar entries

2. What do you get in the box ? ive read differing reports
Exactly the same as the P900 down to the spare stylus, case & earphones. The 32MB DUO is a SanDisk DUO PRO which cannot be read by older USB readers if they don't support PRO (mine does luckily)

3. What are the main changes between the two ?
262K colour instead of 64K
Keypad on flip
32MB (22MB available) RAM instead of 16MB(6-7MB available)
64MB User storage instead of 16MB
DUO PRO support upto 1GB (maybe more if 2GB ever makes it)
Built in QuickWord, QuickSheet, PDF+
Support for folders in message app and HTML email support.

4. What are the differences in battery life?
Only had mine 2 days but looks to be same as P900
5. When was it released ?
In UK on Friday 17th when regular shops had it (CPW, Voda etc.)

Very nice smartphone with extra memory being a big plus. No more memory shortage with Opera & all my apps can easily fit in internal memory still leaving me over 40MB free so I can use the DUO purely for music & video files (512MB Duo Pro on order from £63. 1GB not available yet). If your an expert with hadwritting on the screen the keyboard may not be of benefit. I'm quicker with writting but my friend never got used to it and uses the on-screen keyboard so for him the keypad is a big benefit.

Hope my input helps

Another great thing with P910 is that I not lost bluetooth connection as I did with P900. And now can have multiple bluetooth connection. You are lucky man! This message was posted from a WAP device
