Calling SE 'poo' on an SE forum, I'm sure lots will agree! Seriously though, I have been very impressed with LG's 3G mobiles, they have really leapfrogged ahead of NEC in my opinion.

LG have actually helped 3G move forwards in more ways than one; not only have they produced good 3G mobiles themselves, they have also raised the bar for othe rmanufacturers too.

Yeah the 8150 on Orange looks really cool. I hope they dont stick to the same sort of design though, as its becoming a little boring if you know what I mean..8110,8120 and now 8150(Do those numbers sound familiar??? cough cough connecting people).
I like the phone but, I hope LG will come out with something radical next time. Come on guys be more creative...

I saw an 8110 today, it is indeed a nice phone, loads of features, nice screen.

Is it just me, or does the LG 8110 look very much like the Samsung V200?

And another thing, excuse the stupid question, but is LG the new (ish) name for GoldStar?

@themarques

I would agree with you that LG needs to innovate a little more, but to be fair to them they have identified a product that works and more importantly, for LG, sells well. LG will hopefully expand their range, if they do then they could become a major force in 3G, if not the market leader.

@Sammy_boy Hahaha you have got tobe the first person I have met in ages that has spoken about the "GoldStar" name. Actually Goldstar has been around for as long as LG has been around. It was the name used for sometimes the lower end of the LG market and normally for good shipped to 3rd world countries etc.

Kinda like how in England you have the Vauxhall Astra but elsewhere its the same model but called the Opel Astra...(with sligtly less features etc)
