I think so!
760 euros for a non-smartphone (meaning no Symbian), non-duo pro support, non-full video playback, non-alotathings is a robbery.
I was anxious to get my S700 but for that price, NO WAY!
That price was given to me by the Portuguese distributor (availability in end of October)
760 euros = Ģ500 = USD$900

I donīt think theyīll sell massive amounts of them at that price..
I guess it will sell mostly to Esato-members and their likes
*tech-heads who has the latest gadget always on top of their to-do-list, just above houserent and other bills

seriously, i think itīs ridiculously overpriced, but i feel price will fall fast after initial launch, that is if they didnīt target it at a very elite few to start with..

Sad but true! I also think its loads of money for a gsm with no full screen video playback support and no stick pro support. I think SE did this on purpose, its falls into another segment of the market. Imagine them coming up with the perfect phone there would be no revenues in that. All the things we miss in the s700 now will be in the follow up of this phone. Nokia tactics im afraid. We seeing it right now. p900 vs p910.

Well, i consider myself a full Esato member, but i'm intelligent too (typical Esato member

), and i'm not swiming in 50 dollar bills here!
So forget S700...

rememeber not everyone will be buying them at that price, people will also get them on upgrade or a new contract at much lower prices

@Krubach
That sentence was more or less a description of myself
Or at least the way I used to be before reality caught up with me
Still consider myself tech-head Esato member though!

I think it will only be a flop if its not priced correctly on contract as this is how most consumers buy their new phones, so we'll just have to wait and see that the pricing of the phone is.

the S700 does have a certain novelty value about it which will help make it a seller in the street to your average punter. just look at what the rotators (V70 etc) did for Motorola
I would also be surprised if the price stayed at that RRP for too long once they are generally available and I think time will show that it will be a well accepted phone

Public interest will take off slowly, gradually increasing as prices drop. It'll never sell as much as the T610, or K700 though
