Why? Mine k7 can open very, very small number of HTML pages, and even then it takes whole history to open it... Why didn't SE made better HTML browser, since k700 isn't Symbian phone, and cannot install real HTML browser??? This message was posted from a K700

probably because of the limitations with the screen size.

you could always try/buy reqwireless webviewer which is a java HTML browser

get the webviewer software (you need to purchse to use it fully). You can open html sites from it.

http://www.reqwireless.com/webviewer.html

WebViewer supports the following features:
Browsing of HTML content
Images, including GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and BMP formats
Bookmarks and folders
History
Configurable cache
Cookies and cookie management
Forms
Security via HTTPS (if supported by the device), basic authentication
HTTP, HTTPS, mailto, FTP, and gopher URLs
Attachments including ZIP, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, image, WordPerfect and Adobe PDF documents
Viewing of images at their full size or scaled to fit the device's screen width
Optical character recognition for faxes and scanned documents
Easy to use with no horizontal scrolling required
Support for Unicode and many character encodings
All this in just 48 KB!

Gseth, I had WebViewer, but you cannot download anything, and you cannot save any pictures, coz Java applications only have ability to enter GPRS, not files, BT, or anything else! @Masseur Nokia 6230 have even smaller screen, but it can browse larger number of html pages! GPRS only started this month in Nigeria, and I was so disappointed that k700 couldn't browse HTML sites. Browsing with my boss' Nokia7610 was real cool; it easily opened all HTML sites I accessed. My next set? Nokia 6260- capable of browsing HTML sites.
