Hi pple out there... I jus got my hands on a P910i... After installing the PC suite and setting up the SyncStation... When I put the phone on the SyncStation, it was connecting fine with my PC... But when I open the My P910i icon on my desktop, it shows NOT CONNECTED... And because of this, I can't send files to my phone... Any friends out there know whats wrong? Thx in advance...

Welcome in here.
Before we go any further, try removing the whole program and install it again.
I had to do that and it worked after the 2nd attempt.

Synching has been trouble free for 1 month, but now I am getting simnilar prob to you. I've made 4 calls to sony helpline, and things I've tried are:
-checking all spyware is removed
-disabling norton and other firewalls
-removing Windows service pack 2 (to remove 'conflicts)
-removing and re-installing the pc suite
-replaced the phone today (no improvement, same message)
-replaced the base unit

still getting the problem.....the guys on the helpine have said there is an incompatibility prob with windows xp and sony ericsson software for the p910i, a patch is being worked on, but no idea when it will be released..is your message:

"no phone has been identified by SOny Ericson phone connection monitor" etc etc

Don't know if this helps. Anyway, I have a p900 and have experienced the same problem. I have Zonealarm firewall, which I found out was not letting the syncstation (actually it was mrouterruntime i think) access the internet (don't know why it has to). So I disconnected from the internet, and shut down Zonealarm, and now it works fine.

check out the Read Me file that came with PC Suite. it lists several files/modules that you need to manually set your firewall to give access to.

if that still doesn't work, try uninstalling/reinstalling PC Suite.

funny that SE should say there is an incompatibility issue between windows XP and PC Suite. there are a lot of us here using that exact combination without any problems.

maybe they are referring to XP SP2. well SP2 caused me such huge problems that i just trashed it completely. besides i don't trust MS for the security of my system. i'd rather rely on 3rd party firms like symantec, etc.

I'm running WinXP Pro SP2... zero problems with sync cradle since day 1. AV/Firewall is PC-Cillin (Never liked Norton or McAfee..too intrusive)

Were you guys running previous versions of the PC Suite? That might be a problem as well. Or any other PC Suite? T610 version? Or something else? These do conflict as well since each one has a different "Phone Monitor" that's trying to connect with the phone that's in the cradle. Uninstall all phone related software, and reinstall the latest PC Suite version.
