I got a bug (or virus) with my K700 which where there with the previous FW and now it has appeared again with the R2L FW.
To reproduce it I write a new textmessage with a open mouth smiley

(:- D) and moves the joystick - then the phone reboots, every time.
Anyone else got this humor bug?

Yepp, any direction.
I updated to R2L because of this, but I now have to make another trip to see if there are any solution to this.

this does not cause me a problem with R2L and I have tried using that smiley from both the symbols list and entering the characters to create it manually, and I also tried the joystick in all directions

I have tested more.
To start from scratch (pardon my translation, I not using the english version):
New textmessage
Make sure the T9 dictionary is on (hold * the activate it)
>more>my words - verify that the :-D as a smiley is not stored.
Return to the message
Press 1>more>spell word> make the :-D >insert
The :-D is now saved in your dictionary, my words.
Leave the message and make a new message again
Type number 1 twice and 3 once -> You should have a open mouth smiley.
Move your joystick.....
I have tried this several times and it works every time. But only with the smiley stored in the dictionary and not the one from the symbols.
Give it a try and see if you get the same result.

I just wonder why you have to go through all those fuzz just to get a smiley. I tried it anyway (because I'm a curious cat), but everything's just normal, no reboot. I'm still using R2A.

My K700 crashed

It did not restart completely, because I didn't have to enter phone lock code or SIM lock code. But it crashed.
Another thing I discovered after the upgrade to version R2L001, is that it is impossible to use my iPAQ 4150 and the K700 as a dial-up networking anymore. Both GPRS and dial-up posibillity is gone. The iPAQ won't connect. I have no problem connecting using a PC or connecting to other

models.

How do you find an error?
By coincidence normally, but then you (at least me) try to solve it and then you come up with things like this

@laffen, you need to add a Z into the ipaq initialise string now and then dial up with iPAQ works fine again
