Ive just got my P910, justified by getting rid of my P900 and Blackberry in favour of one mobile device.
Im desperatly struggling to get the blackberry service running and i can find no documentation on this.
I have swapped out the T-Mobile sim from my Blackberry and nothing happens. I have seen various postings and asked our email tech support, even phones Sony Ericsson but still no joy.
So far i have found out that the Blackberry SIM should work in any device irrepective of IMEI number as they can be swapped to and from Blackberry device without a problem. SE say that a third party software needs to be installed on the P910 to enable this. Blackberry are no longer supporting 3rd party devices for thier service.
So at the moment im totally stuck !!!!
If anybody has any Blackberry software for the P910 or any solution to this then hopefully i will be able to keep my phone otherwise it goes back to the supplier

I wouldn't bother with BlackBerry - go to
www.smartner.com and look around. There is an alternative "push" email product called Duality, that, for me, is better than BlackBerry, and costs about £3.50 per month + GPRS usage (minimal). I've been using it on my P900 for a few months to retrieve my corporate email.

“Sony Ericsson has announced a licensing agreement with RIM on their Blackberry Connect program. This is a global agreement and will allow Sony Ericsson to deliver a P910 with a Blackberry client. However, there is currently an ongoing patent lawsuit that NTP has against RIM in the US. Due to this lawsuit and not known implications to manufacturers, Sony Ericsson will not be offering the Blackberry solution in the US as of now. As things progress, Sony Ericsson will respond accordingly.”

Thats in the US. How about Europe. Im sure i read that wasnt the case in Europe.

The P910 needs the Blackberry Connect client installed in the phone for this service to be enabled. My phone is UK spec and hasnt got this. I will ask the mobile provider if there is any updates but even the box doesnt have the Blackberry Conect logo

Is there anyone out there who is actually using their P910 as a Blackberry?
If yes, can you shed some light on how you got the Blackberry functionality working?
My company uses blackberries, so I would like to upgrade to a P910 and use it for e-mail.
Otherwise, Smartner's Duality push solution sounds like a great alternative for my P900, and a good reason not to give SE another $800.

T Mobile did the same thing for the new iPaq h6315. They were originally going to have the RIM client bundled, but held it off because of the lawsuit.
Not a huge deal for a windows device if your company supports that too, but this is a big gap for other devices (symbian, palm) that have only RIM client connectivity to get into "corporate systems."
