If pple are experiencing connection problems like... Your P910 icon (file manager) shows your phone as not connected, while your phone connection link shows as connected... and you can do syncronisation, backup & restore, but you can't seem to transfer files to your phone... If you have tried the basic means such as uninstall & install, reboot etc... and it still doesn't work, then I suggest you download third-party file manager and use it for the time being while SE comes out with a newer PC suite version to rectify this problem... And for everybody's knowledge, the third-party software works for me... Hope this helps... Cheerios

FYI
I also had this problem with P900, using PC Suite 3.0. I upgraded to WinXP SP2, and from what I understand PC Suite 2.x won't work with SP2 so I upgraded. Now I can't transfer files to my phone...
I sure hope they get a new version released soon!

I've never had a problem. worked great withe the P800 and P900 and v3 still works great now as does the same feature for the K700
I've always believed its down to some conflict of what you have on your pc and I personally don't install anything at all "just to try it" so I always know whats on my pc
Having said that I have no idea exactly what might cause the problems although I have received quite a few PMs in the past asking for help. The problem is that if I don't have the problem its hard to track down the cause

Well, here's my story: I sent my P900 away for service and installed SP2 while it was gone. It came back (not fixed, but still functional) and I uninstalled the old version of PC Suite (I forget the version number) and installed PC Suite 3.0.
Sync with Outlook went OK, although I forgot to configure the sync settings and I ended up with two copies of each contact in my phone. I cannot get files transferred, nor can I install software (the installation fails as the file is initially being transferred to the phone). Nothing has changed except SP2 and PC Suite 3.0. (OK - I know that is a lot of changes, but it is supposed to be seamless, no?)
Any advice would be appriciated.

I mentioned I am running pc suite v3 but probably should also have mentioned I am running SP2 too, not that that comment helps you of course but does show that the combination does work
edit: btw, I always uninstall the current pc suite before installing the new one

ditto.. 3.0.0 & SP2 working fine, bluetooth & cradle.
Remember SP2 adds a basic firewall so it will need to allow exceptions for the Sync software.

Sincere apologies if someone has alraedy answered this...but I have searched to no avail...!
My P900 synced fine via the cable connection prior to XP SP2 upgrading. Now, post SP2, I can backup no problem, but syncing with Outlook continues to "fail".
I have tried adding the connectivity programs to the firewall exceptions, but still no luck.
Help !!
