Hi guys, I'm giving the K700i a thought as a replacement for my current T610 and have a few questions that I hope you experts can help me out:
1) Does the Bluetooth file transfer work as good as the T610, eg. sending/receiving files with Palm Tungsten T3, computers etc.
2) Does the Bluetooth handsfree/headset profile work the same as the T610?
3) Is the voice dial really limited to only 20 positions? (read this somewhere)
4) Is it true that the voice answering command function does not work when an MP3 is used as a ringtone?

3 = Don't think so as you have to set a separate voice dial for each phone number. If you have a home, mobile and work number set for someone, you have to set three voice dials - (e.g. name home, name work & name mobile). I think I preferred the T68i method, whereby you setup voice commands for home, mobile, work etc and then just have to set up one voice dial for each contact. You then say the name and then it beeps again and you say work/mobile or home (if there is more than one set up).
4 = Yes - The reason for this is you can have anything as a MP3 so if you had someone talking as an MP3, your phone could get confused so it disables voice answer with MP3 ringtones. As a work around you can always set your profiles whilst in car or with headset as normal ringtone and when without a nice MP3 one.

I think I made a mistake in my previous question. I think I read that there is only 20 limited spaces for personal ringtones. Is this true? Quite crappy right? I'm about to get one unit though....

i don't think you are restricted to 20 personal ringtones. You have 40mbs or so memory, as long as you have space then you can add more than that.

It shouldnt be limited to such a small space. I think you cn add voice dial to every contact as long as the memory permits..then again i maybe wrong.

I hadn't noticed this! Now SE have no excuse. Before you could justify only storing one mobile/home/fax/other number per person because you recorded one voice for "mobile", one for "home", etc. So if you said "John" "home" there could only be one John home number or the phone wouldn't know which to dial. Now that you have to record a voice per number, voice dialing isn't an issue ... why the hell are we still limited to one number of each type?

Just got my K700i last nite! Still experimenting with my new gadget. One thing I noticed, however, the bluetooth headset implementation is different from the T610. Tried playing with it for a while this morning but found it to be quite unstable. Sometimes it just wouldn't connect. I'm using a Jabra BT200. Should be compatible right? What is the best way to setup this headset on the K700i? Do I choose "all calls in handsfree" or just leave it in default "all calls in phone" for the incoming call function?
Quite dissapointed with the absence of the "mobile", "office", "home" voice function.... what were they thinking?
