Every now and again orange send of a sim update. I know they do something to settings of the phone, but is there any way to find out exactly what is in there updates. This message was posted from a T610

When vodafone do it, the update the menu called Vodafone. So the links to services and helplines.
They also update the networks selections for the partner networks when going abroad. So I imagine it is almost the same for Orange.

The answer to your question is NO, you cant tell what the SIM updates are regarding. They dont keep a track on Oranges customer services systems either.

They are more frequently to do with the fact that new network masts are going up in your area, hence people that live in the same area as you will get them at the same time.

Secondly they may be settings to activate GPRS/MMS/Roaming etc etc.
