> Using the P910i without the flip?
Bookmark topic
On Esato there has been numerous discussions about using the Pxxx phones with - or without the flip. It seems that quite many P800 users removed the flip (non-electric etc). With the P900 I guess about 50% used the flip, 50% used it without.
What about the P910? Now there is an additional reason to keep the flip as the QWERTY-keyboard is located on the back of the flip. I had a P900 before and used it both with and without the flip.
Anyone (that has the P910) that uses it without the flip? Or has been thinking of it?

If I got one I'd use the flip for a while for sure just as I did with the P900 but I know I'd soon get fed up of the extra bulk & inconvenience of it hangin off the bottom when open.
I use the internet A LOT & hence flip open mode & so most likely flip removed.

my p800 never wore its flip, over 18 months (including a ruond the world trip where it was likely to get damaged) but now the p900 feels like it needs a flip on.. i dont like it without (even tho its off at the moment, its about to go back on).
Should be getting a p910 in the next couple of weeks, depends how much fatter it feels - its a shame - id like to keep the p900 flip for the p910 so its thinner - i WONT be using that terrible keypad. I would bet it will stay flip on tho.

Sounds to me like you'd be better saving £400 & simply getting the P910 f/w on your P900, that's what I'm doing!

To be honest it doesn't feel any fatter & the flip is rather nice. I can write on screen faster than on the new keypad so may not be of much use to me so I could take it off but prefer the look & protection with it on.
The QWERTY keypad is not back lit so not much use in the dark anyway.
I'll be sticking with writting on the screen.
For me it was worth upgrading for the far greater internal memory & DUO PRO support. I also get better signal reception than I did with my P900 using the same SIM & bluetooth is more reliable. I think the camera is a touch better but already sold my P900 so can't do a direct comparrison.
