Is it just me or is the ''loud" speaker not very loud at all. It maybe a problem with my phone but i have found that when using the speaker with the radio or playing my ringtones it is just not very loud at all. I turn it right up with the button on the left of the phone but is there anyway i can make it louder than this?
Thanks for any help!

It's not amazingly loud when just playing a file but is noticeably louder at full volume for ringtones (even with the same file)
I still think it's loud enough though & is very clear & sounds better than Nokias.
Anyway it's not designed to replace your stereo!

Thanks!
Yep, i noticed that, my friends 6230 is loud yet fuzzy and the same with my N-Gage. Although alot of the ringtones do sound better on the Nokias i have to admit. Would never go back to nokia though!
It was just a general query. Doesn't particularly bother me but i just noticed it was on the quiet side.

Remember that some ringtones, midi or mp3, may not be fully normalized. That means that the midi instruments, when programming the midi-file, weren't set very loud in the sequencer program. Some mp3's are also ripped at a low volume. It all depends on how the sound engineers mastered the album you're ripping. Many rippers have an option for "normalize", which ups the volume if it's low on the recording. Since the k700i doesn't have a built-in normalizer (no phones do??), this may cause your ringtones to sound a bit low. My k700i has OK sound when using the speaker. I remember my T610 to be very low, lower than my girlfriend who also had a T610.

My K700 is not loud at all too. I mean if I send a ringtone
from my brohters T610 to my phone it sounds so much lower
and so different as well. You can hear sounds that wouldn't
be heard on the T610. That is good butthe volume is still too
low. The build in ringtones are really low in volume too. I can barely
listen to the 'ring, ring, ring' ringtone, it is so low and others too.
Do you think my K700 has a problem?

I think the midi sound generator of K700 is different from the T610 because when I copied midi files from my brother's T610 it sounded different (inferior actually) compared to the T610. The T610 was louder too. Even when using mp3s, the K700's volume is not that loud either because I compared playing the same mp3 ringtone to my sister's N-6230 and it sounded louder. I didn't mind though since the volume was just enough for me to hear it.

My k700 is very loud. I've compared it with 6230, and they are same, but quality is better on k700. Maybe you all have hearing problem ;-) :-D

Hmmm..
Why not try two things...!
Make the MIDI you send louder by using a good MIDI Encoder or increase the volume level of MP3 you load by using Total recorder.
Secondly, Have any of you noticed volume buttons on the side, when you play the paticular files increase volume from the buttons manually, As the K 700i sometimes sounds low on some files...
