hi everyone. i was just informed by a SE service center here in the philippines that a newer R2L version is now available for the K700i. they said they were able to download this "new" or "updated" R2L version 2 days ago from sony ericsson. anybody has some info about this "new/updated" R2L?

It would be interesting to know exactly what the firmware revision is. The 'current' R2L is R2L001. If you could find out that information, i'd interested.
To be honest I was expecting R2T out next rather than another R2L!

they didn't elaborate much on this "new/update" R2L. they just said that the R2L they put in my K700i before was version 2. this "new/updated" R2L is version 3. i'm really not sure what they meant by this. i was also expecting R2T or R3 something to come out after R2L.

well. I updated my phone to R2L001 on an service center and when i got my DSS-25 i tried the online update. The online service updated my phone to R2L001. I expected the software to have told me that i already have the latest software and i cant get an uppdate now. But it didnīt happened

Well, if it's doesn't download anything and it reinstalls the cached copies of the firmware files, you have the latest version.

i also had R2L already on my phone when i tried the online update but the online update didn't say anything that my phone already had the latest version installed. i think masseur got a message saying that his phone alradey had the latest version and was asked if he wanted to continue the update or not. i asked in one post if anyone had a similar experience but nobody replied. i think it's only massuer who encountered this message.
