Hi there,

I was thinking about swapping/selling my T68 for a Samsung T100. I don't use GPRS/Bluetooth/Infrared so I won't miss those features, but the polyphonic ringing tones and 4096colour screen are tempting. From what I can see though, there's not really sites offering downloads for the phone like there are for the T68, I've no idea how often Samsung release updates, and there's just generally a real lack of information regarding the phone. What's the user interface like? T9 speed okay? Any opinions anyone?

Cheers

Peter

peter - go ahead with it coz samsung supplys parts to other electronics giants both in europe, asia and the u.s. do not buy the 7210 coz nokia is for profit, quantity and not quality. nokia phones repair rate is 8-10% while it's competitors (sonyericsson, siemens, etc.) are just 3%. got it from a reliable source. go for the samsung! if you don't need it then discard it like used underwear for example.

You will give up the goodies that you have mentioned but you will get a better screen and a better quality of manufacture. Samsung phones do not usually have any bugs. I have been readinq that the battery life is miserable in accordance to samsung tradition. It must be a very solid phone though. This post was posted from a Nokia

Some of you guys are so bias towards sonyericsson, you seem like major shareholders in the company!

Please stop convincing yourselves that the T68i is the best colour phone and will be for a long time and that the T100 is shit!

A lot of people who have seen the T100 love the design given the cool solid flip. Remember that many consumers ONLY purchase flip phones. For a colour phone only (most of what medium end consumers want) , the T100 wins over T68 given that its screen is much better.

Most of you guys act like primary school children and try and attack some of my posts because i deliver a neutral view of the T100. I have a T100 and a T68!

Just go and f**k yourselves cos ive had enough of you ugly avid sonyericsson fans - I want a sincere apology from those that have attacked my opinion on the T100 and made rude peverted comments!!

Thanks you in advance

allexdos > calm down i understand why your angry at people about what theyve said to you annd your T100.. but you gotta understand that this is a sonyericsson forum.. and everyone is gonna have a bias towards phones...

i personally think the T100 looksa like a good phone. and if you dont use all your features on your T68... why not go for the swap? Try and test one out before you go for the plunge... make sure you like what your getting

Seems to me to have been a waste to have bought a t68 and not used bluetooth or GPRS both of which are awesome features! The samsung seems a little old hat without them and just a posing phone! As for manufacturers i have always prefered nokia, but the t68 just blew my mind! This post was posted from a WAP device

It wasn't a waste buying the T68, I got it primarily for the colour screen, size, themes, picture phonebook, etc., rather than GPRS, which I'll never need, I only rarely use WAP.

The *big* advantages with the T100 in my eyes are the fact that because its flip-top the screen won't get scratched, something that really bugs me with the T68. Polyphonic ringing tones are a big draw too.

Alexdos, does the small front display on the T100 scratch easily? How quick is T9? Is there any chance do you think of it supporting MMS in the future..? Any other comments on the phone as a whole?

Cheers

Allexdos, all you have been posting is crap. What does this phone have other than it’s great color screen? I’m sorry, but your posts about the T100 being "Bug Free" and "Faster" is untrue, in fact it is slower. Please, show us TRUE facts about the phone instead of false facts about the phone. I think people that do this crap should be banished off this forum, as I am finding it very annoying.

And by the way allexdos, you're the one that came out attacking us, remember?

Personally I find the battery life too short, especially with the 2-hour talk time. The T100 (or S100/V100 for that matter) would never be a good phone here in California, we drive longer than the battery power on this phone, so I'd like a phone I could still use after not charging for a day, and still have room in my pocket for other things when I carry my phone around. Sure, the color screen is better, so are the ring tones, but in a short time we'll have the Nokia 7210 and P800 (Which will make the T100 crap), but the T68 will still be on top of the list because of the battery, features, size, and worldwide usability.
