Not Possible!!!

The IR of a TV and the IR of computers and Phones are different.
You cannot use make the phone send an IR signal totally out of it's spectrum.

It will however be able to control a computer, if you'd have a media computer with a program like Girder.

It can´t be made for the k700 not because it doesn´t have symbian, but because it doesn´t have the necessary API to acess the IR port...it´s the same with the bluetooth port

My guess:

Since has blocked several hardware functions you can't program a TV remote for the K700.

My conclusion of this thread is that only the IR of the Smartphones can be programmed to be used for television sets.
