Have you made sure that your new Wap settings are selected as your preferred account?

I use O2 WAP GPRS to connect, which I had sent to me by O2 I simply selected the new account as my preferred choice and I was able to connect. I am presuming that GPRS has been activated on your account.
You might want to delete all your data accounts and have O2 send them to you again, this might solve your problm.
Unfortunately I don't have much information regardong free GPRS from O2, perhaps you can find out more baout this if you perform a search.

Thats true, if you connect through the proxy server (what you stated above), if its a new sim, you have to call up o2 and ask them to activate GPRS....
