> Java based sms archive on phone
Bookmark topic
I recently got a K700i, and although its great, I find it a bit of a shame to have 40 Mbs of memory and being able to store a mere 70 messages. So I have been looking for two hours for a java-application to acces my sms and store them elsewhere on my phone. And have found nothing.
Does anyone know of a java program that will allow me to archive sms on my phone?

Sorry, no idea, but it would be a great feature for those who like to keep messages. Or at least the possibility to copy them to internal mem.

I don't know of any Java programs for the phone to do this, but (on Apple Mac at least) there are programs that let you archive them to your computer, if that's any help?

I think many would prefer such an app in the fone, not on pc. However, its really weird, why so few sms and limited tel book in a 40mb fone.

If nobody knows of an excisting java app, maybe its possible to make one? I'm not particulary experienced, but I have made some simple programs before and expect its possible for a java program to acces the sms and ordinary memory.
Anybody got any pointers on how to make something like this?

Would it be possible in t630 too? It seems for me no connection between intermal mem and fonebook. Could a java app connect them?

@T610_Software
That will save them to pc...they want one that you can install to phone and use the memory (ie the 2mb on the T610) so save sms.

Next to fonebook i use tasks and notice, so more mem for them would be useful. I always del messages, they arent counting for me to store.
