I think there should be a section of the forum where we can post links of threads we have seen that either need to be looked at by a mod or need to be closed because over the last few days i have had to pm a mod but i dont know whos going to be online first but if we put the link into the new forum, a mod as soon as he is online will look in the forum and deal with the threads int he right manner.

I think that we should make a new thread in it with the link of the thread and the reason it should be reviewed.

This would make the mods job easier because mods dont always know to close a thread, ie on the 'market' when someone has sold there item or on a different part of the forum when it has been sorted out between us that the thread should be closed, usually we put a post in saying 'please close this thread' or something like that and a mod will have to be looking through every thread to find it.

I thought this up because at this time of night usually there is no mod online so by the morning they will have to look through a lot of threads to find one that needs to be sorted out.

i'm not sure it is a good idea to show openly who has requested what to be closed or moderated in all circumstances....... sometime your simple request for some intervention may lead to a member getting banned and I'm not sure you'd want everybody to know that

Some members can be quite vengeful and fret on their vendettas for a long time

That would just create new stirs in the future. What's wrong with Pm-ing a mod.

Although I do agree that you 'don't know who's going to be online first' so one general PM-box accessible to all mods (such as Team Esato) would be useful imho.

I don't think there is any real need for such a forum, it would probably end up filled with links to threads that were perfectly fine and hence cause more work for the moderators, as they would have to sift through it all. Just send the link to a moderator and they will deal with it whenever they come online.

Your point about there being no moderators on during the night (GMT+0 I am presuming) isn't completely true as there are moderators online sometimes; if there is a need for another moderator for night time duty then I'm sure laffen will see to it.

I was just thinking a small forum with (for members) an only post new topic permission (im pretty sure it can be done here, can be done in my forum so the members dont see what goes on but still can bring something to a mods attention....no one likes it so ill scrap the idea?

I think that we should have that thing mince said.
