tried it. Eats up the memory (1.4MB), and takes ages to take the picture (you have to hold down the camera for a long while), not to mention the processing that takes more ages!

OK so just looked at the site & here is 'kind of' the answer to my question
Quote:
Brief Users Manual
Snapping: To snap a photo, click on theviewfinder area. While photo is beingsnapped, you see the "HOLD CAMERA"prompt with a progress bar.
Browse snapped photos: In the"Snapped photos" tab (2nd tab) you canbrowse snapped photos. Use wheel forscrolling. Click the items in the list tomark them.
Processing: In the "Snapped photos" tabselect the photo(s) you want to process, then select "Process" from Optionsmenu.
Procesing Options:
Large photo functions(Merge/Zoom/Both)
PhotoAcute produces large photos bytwo methods:
- Merging several snapshots: givesmaximum quality, but works only forstatic scenes
- Applying intelligent zoom algorithm tothe first snapped frame
This option allows you to select whatmethods you want to be applied.
note: the Zoom option is disabled incurrent version
Geometry and Brightness correction(Yes/No)
If this option is selected, PhotoAcutecorrects barrel distortion and darkeningin the corners. Normally, you should notdisable this option.
Save standard photo (Yes/No)
If this option is selected, PhotoAcutesaves unprocessed photo, similar to whatyou can get using standard cameraapplication. You can use this option forcomparing the standard photo toPhotoAcute result.
JPEG Compression (Low/Normal/High)
This option defines the JPEGcompression level for all output photos.Use "Low" for maximum quality, "High"for minimum size.
Save photos to (MMC/Phone)
This option defines whether the resultingphotos will be stored to the Memory Cardor to the Phone Memory.
Settings: In the "Settings" tab click theitems in the list to alter the setting. Theonly working setting for now is thenumber of images to snap per onephoto.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. I got tired of waiting and killed the app. When I tried again, the same thing happened so I uninstalled it.
It took entirely too long to snap the pictures even if it worked correctly. From what I understand, it takes about 4 seconds to take 4 pictures which is way too long for me.
Oh well... Maybe I'll try again when I have more time or more patience.
