> O2 Problems, Any Ideas

There are several problems with my K700i which i have on O2. Some of which are because i need to update the software/firmware as it is the original batch. However the two main things which are really p***ing me off about my contract revolve around O2's inability to deliver my texts.
Firstly certain people when i text them can't reply to my texts by simply replying! They get the message 'Number does not exist'. This doesn't help because many people think i aint there, and seeing as the majority are women (no offence intended ladies) they cant work out how to send a message by having to wirte a new one. Does anyone know how i can sort this out so they can just reply?
Secondly, and the most frustrating of all, texts are simply not being delivered to me. Sometimes, and i mean only sometimes, messages come through to my phone no problem. However more than often messages are sitting in the wilderness and i can't access them. I have to turn my phone on off on off , change top vodafone, then come back to o2 under network settings, just to try and get messages intended for me. Then when i turn back on im gettin 5 or more beeps to let me know, yep, ive got friends! Does anyone know what the problem is here and how it can be sorted. Because to be hoenst if i cant sort this one out then im definitelt going to switch to Orange, same deal, just they'll do what they say on the tin

What do u mean u switch to Voda? Do u use a dual SIM adapter or u just select the Voda Network but it doesn't work?

When i say i switch to vodafone, i mean i go to my netowrk settings and do a new search select vodafone, or orange or tmobile for that point, it means my signal goes dead, phones useless for phoning! Then go back and do a new search and select o2, something a friend told me to do who had simular problems with her nokia on o2.

O2 know of the problem. They will send you a new phone as soon as you let them know. A few people here had the problem about a month ago. I got it with trying to send messages. But in a few hours it began to work again. So i sent the phone back. You seen to have the major problem, i had an untrained guy you never properly researched my problem before ordering a new phone. Search for k700 sms problems with O2 i think it was under, with my username.
Ring up O2 they will post asap. Owen

When i text my mate who has a 6600 he cant reply by pressing reply aswell, he has to go to write a new message to be able to send to me.
About the text message time, i remember making a thread because i was pissed off that it was taking up2 an hour for someone to recieve my message and now and then it takes up2 maybe 5-10 mins to send.

I don't think getting a replacement handset would solve the problem.
Surely it's just a Network problem? 02 have had SMS problems for years, even when they were BT Cellnet

no its not the phone i think you will find its o2 they just cant cope with the demand for all the texts that are sent i sent a text to somone it took a week for them to get it same with gprs all you get is network busy or no signal its a right cock up on o2s part i have tried my o2 sim in several different phones all get the same result
