what does it mean when a forum message said it "was posted by a t610, or a WAP device" etc?

i would think it finds out the browser type and in the browser type there is a code tht it reads to find out or something like that?

I noticed this feature at other wap sites aswell. Indeed, the system recognize the fone, so every handset sends its 'id' to it.

Does the 'wap device' include pda's and pocket pcs connecting through, lets say a T610? Would it come up with 'T610' 'Wap device' or as if its just a normal pc?

When a new
is launced and people start posting to Esato from it, via WAP, there is a code in the script of Esato that Laffen has to enter for it to be able to recognise the individual phones it it sent from.
Those phones, and PDAs, that comes up as WAP-devise in the forum has not had their code entered in to the system, like 280 and 320.
