> T39 - highlight text
Bookmark topic
In "tap" input mode, I can hightlight text by holding the volume slider up or down and using the menu keys to navigate forwards or backwards.
I don't know what good this feature is... Im hoping someone will tell me there is a cut/paste buffer that I can copy the highlighted text to.
(FYI: in T9 mode, the volume slider selects alternate word candidates).
This might all work for the T68s too, since a lot of their tips work on the T39.

That reference talks about how to delete it (press the C key after this highlighting). Also, starting to enter new text will replace this highlighted text.
What I was hoping for is a way to copy or cut that text so that it can be pasted somewhere else.

The cut/copy/paste tip does not work in T39. Highlight text works, but it's useless...

Hmmm.. Does T9 really speeding up texting?
I don't really use the option.. For one.. we speak two languages interchangeably.. English and Tagalog.. And another.. T39s keypad is good enough for manual texting. Lastly, you won't be able to use T9 either when sending messages on Esato and Yahoo! Messenger.

i use the t9 all the time. it works really well for me, though it gets a little confusing for long words.

The T9 can be used when typing a reply on Esato.
