> K700i R2C > R2L, now won't turn off properly

Hi,
Updated my Orange branded K700i using the update service and a P900 dock yesterday from R2C to R2L.
However when I turn the phone off now, the is no shutdown animation and the display flicks black and white for a few seconds then the phone reboots (with no startup animation, no prompt for lock codes).
Everything else seems OK, but this effectively blocks me from the update service in future as well as being annoying.
Anyone got any ideas?

I'm not a wizzard on these things but try taking out the battery, leave it out for few secs and put it back in. It's amazing what that can fix sometimes.

Sadly that doesn't fix it. If the battery is removed, the phone boots normally when it's put back in, but the next shutdown causes it to reboot again.
I have found out that I can still use the update service though, I just take the phone out of the cradle and remove/reinsert the battery ater it's supposed to have turned it off and it's waiting for me to press the "Update" button.

OK, next step then is to do the SW upgrade one more time.
If that doesn't solve the problem I would take it to a Service Point and let them have a look at it.

I've managed to get it to update again (by removing/reinserting the battery when the update service has supposedly turned the phone off), but it's still the same.
I suspect that it's "crashing" trying to play the shutdown video and is simply relaunching the phone software (kinda like the P900 does).
The service centres near me haven't got the ability to flash K700's yet, I asked last week.
I think i'll live with it for the moment, I just have to remove the battery if I want to shut my phone off (which is rare) and it's not as if it's not covered by warranty and phone insurance from Orange.

I had precisely the same problem on my unbranded phone...went to a SE service point and they couldn't fix it...had to go to SE for a fix ... i would get yours exchanged if you have Orange care its a fault

My question would : Did the update remove any of the branding? I.e. are you now able to add shortcuts to the joystick etc?

My Orange contract handset updated, but left the customisations intact (in fact, it looks like it updated them as the customisation version has "R2L" in it).
But it did fix all the stuff that was in the firmware release (missed calls, etc) and solved a hissing problem I was having when calling a mate with a Panasonic handset.
