Is the photo quality comparable with the K700i? Or is it much better? I understand they are both 1.3 mega pixels, right?

Pictures must be the same as they are 1.3 megapixel.
These pictures do look good in full screen mode.

no, the S700 has a true 1.3 megapixel camera whereas the K700 has a 0.3 megapixel camera (VGA) but has software in it that can interpoloate the picture up to 1.2 megapixels.
so you can expect much better quality from the S700 than the K700

Wrong. I think the quality is much better in S700 which uses a CCD sensor, where K700 uses a CIF camera sensor.
Besides, K700 is only VGA , having VGA = 640x480, means K700 has a 0.3 MP Camera, whilst S700 has 1.3 MP (1280 x 960).
@PeterKey
What kinda meal is that!?!?!??!

Well, the size of the pictures is much depending on what you are taking a picture (meaning the complexity of the picture in terms of colors).
If you take a 1280x960 pic at a blue sky the size will be much smaller than the size of a picture with the same resulotion of a garden full of flowers.
