I am by now really confused by this combination. First with Nokia 6310i the battery of the HBH-20 was drained so quickly, now with t68i this is fine.

But other problems arrise. With BT in auto mode and sound in headset sometimes the phone does not transfer the call to the headset.

With BT on al the time (tried it for the first time today) I get all kinds of strange things. Hearing only a dial tone where the other person hears me fine. Not being able to pick up calls. Voice dialling through the headset confuses the phone and retrying (when busy) is no use with the headset (complete confusion with dialtone when actually connected etc.) Had to reboot the phone several times already.

The best seems Auto and "allways ask", but after all the critisism on NOKIA's BT functionality I think this is pretty poor from Ericsson as well. Many of the functions for which I bought the HBH20 seem impossible or unreliable. This cannot be what BT is all about.

I like: Same charger, Low profile earpiece, Battery life, Small size, Volume buttons, Luxury of freedom from phone.

Butttttt: The communication between phone and headset could be much better. I have read about a software upgrade. How do you get that done? Could a service point do it?

My software on HBH-20 (found under accessories) is CAH 109 629 R4A

Btw.. I cannot see how to change the passkey on the HBH-20.

Do I need the new software for the phone as well....?

Thanks for any help.

man that sounds rough, mine works okay...no upgrade needed, I always leave BT on, not auto because you're right it doesn't work well. I have little difficulty with voice dialing, mainly because i use The following:
home - house phone
work - work phone
mobile - mobile phone

names work well for me so I just use the person. Also, try to be about less than eight meters away from phone. Maybe this will help with having to reboot

Thanks for the info. Good to know it can work.....

Have the phone on my belt.

Today my "8" key hangs..... Well on with the love-hate relationship with my phone.

What is your HBH-20 software version? (settings>accessories>click HBH-20 while it is on)

Let's reply to my own post....

Sorry for all my complaints. It seems after some resets and time for my headset and phone to become friends, my BT situation has stabilized. Everything works, voice dialing, answering etc. You just have to wait for beeps and be patient. Only problem is sound quality in recording the commands. Sometimes it does not recognise the voice correctly.

Setting: Bluetooth ON and Sound in headset.

Bluetooth on means 20% more battery use.

Thanks for the help everyone.
