Sandisk (not scandisk) 1gb will work with P910 assuming you

a) can find one
b) want to pay the exhorbitant price

Is Sandisk a sony brand??? I mean the P910 are getting boxed with the 32MB Sandisk memory stick as opposed to the Sony Memory stick that comes along with the P900.

Only the original Sony MS duos are licensed and guaranteed to work. The other mfg. have been manufacturing ms duos also, but do so without the authorization/support/licensing/endorsement of Sony. They are good and work. However, their quality is slightly lower than the originals and the risk of failure is higher. The Sony ms duo's are just the highest quality msd's out there.

thats not correct and I have posted links previously when someone made the same comment showing that sandisk and lexar are memory stick licencees. gotta rush now but just look on www.memorystick.org or www.memorystick.com and its all there

I can't say I have experienced that either. I have a 1gb sandisk SD card in my iPAQ and a 1gb sandisk compact flash in my gps. While my main duo pro for my camera and P910 is a Sony 512mb I also use a 256mb sandisk duo pro and again don't notice any different.

I have a 2gb sandisk compact flash fully loaded with videos waiting for my new iPAQ hx4700 to arrive in the next day or two so I will be giving that a good test too
