I've noticed that the light on the key pad is not consistent... one column of keys the light light is quite dimmer than the other two columns.. anyone else notice or is it mine that is faulty..

looking closely at mine it does appear the first column is perhaps a little less bright than the other columns but I hadn't noticed until this thread.

Its probably to do with the numbers, the light must obviously be in the middle, and, as the numbers are larger than the letters, more light is escaping from the larger number windows to the right, while to the left, it is the smaller letter windows closer to the light, allowing less light to escape.

Yes it is... dimmer light on the left column, seems to be the way it is as other seem to agree.. No it is no big deal but would look better if they were all the same.. guess we will have to life with it..
If the light is central then the left and right column should be the same.. in my case the centre and right column are the same 'bright' but the left is dimmer..

Just remove the flip and there will be light everywhere.
Coming to think of it, if the backside of the keypad was transparent, light would have got transmitted from the screen thru the numbers, wouldn't it? Maybe just a small rectangle to cover the flip could have been enough to light up the numbers..
