I was wondering if anyone has worked out how to get a K700i to play user uploaded MP3's as ring tones..?

Vodafone branding means you cannot use mp3 ringtones, which is a shame. Try updating your firmware, i've heard it works.

Vodafone branded phones cannot be upgraded online. If you take it to a service centre they will upgrade it but the vodafone customisation will still apply. Voda have decided that only MP3s bought from voda live can be used as ringtones

also, i assume it's just a matter of working out what properties [headers etc] those mp3's have, and adding that info.

I've tried using an MP3 tag editor, and still can't make them play. If anyone does, I'd be happy to hear about it
