I have come to terms with the fact that the shutter is gonna make dirty sound when i use it, ppl need 2 chill, it aint a BIG deal! but if u find a way 2 turn it off let me know ; )
Whats the most imaginative was of disguising the "dirty" shutter sound?
I carry a stack of greek plates and drop one everytime i wanna take a pic of an unsuspectin idiot! : p

Depending on w/c fw you have it's not possible. Try upgrading to the latest fw r2l001 then just use meeting profile to mute cam shutter sound .

Lol! Agreed. People are obsessing over it. It was made that way so you couldn't take those pics. Most phones are getting it as well.

It's only the perverts who worry about the shutter sound. I personally don't care if it makes a noise or not. I do like the fact that the noise confirms the photo has been taken when in strong sunlight though.

Hold down the hash key. And the fone will be on silent mode, u can easily revert back to your normal mode by holding the hash key again. That works for me. I have the r2l f/w

I believe it's not the firmware but the countries where the firmware is updated.
I dislike the noise as my mates laugh at me when I take a pic.

It is indeed country/operator dependant. It's law in some countries.
