> S700 Radio Charger Stand & Info
Bookmark topic
Hi to all SE fans,
This is the Radio Charger base which comes supplied with the latest shipment of K700 in Hong Kong. It's neat, compact and extremely handy when I takes on trips. The photo was shot with the O2XDA2. The stand also fits the S700.
Once connected, it automatically goes to handsfree/headphone mode. Select radio and turn on speaker, that simple. The AC adapter plugs to the back and you charge your phone whilst listening to the radio. A USB cable comes supplied to charge from notebook or PC.
The S700 fits nicely in hand, slippery though & best use handstrap for added security. Personally I would like to see the S700 supports 1GB MS Duo Pro, like the P910i.
Yes I agreed to all about the non full screen video record & playback. If SE puts everything into the S700, do you think there will be as many SE fans would go for the P910i? That's marketing strategy, just like other electronic gadgets & "toys".
The S700 is an improvement over the K700, at least we can put in a 128MB MSDuo for more games, MP3 and quality 1.3 mega pixel CCD DC for those moments we need to capture memoable moments, but doesn't have our 8 mega pixel DSLR/DC or 3CCD VCam with us. Remember SE friends/fans, this is after all a MOBILE PHONE.
The shutter button noise is a pain, shutter sound #3 has a pleasant sound and does not sound like a regular shutter sound, hardly noticed in a noisy environment.
I am sure those who are lucky to get the S700 within days of release, found this & that missing or should have this & that etc. I am sure also that those get their hands on one have done extensive review before they hand over the big bucks. If there are so many features beyond their expectation, why bother buy one and complain later. Who knows, the next model from SE might have all our dream items included and all will be happy.
I will wait patiently for a group of keen game programmers to provide new Java games for the S700, and thank them in advance.

According to SE HK, this unit is not available to the public and must be purchased with the K700. However, there are stores here retain the unit and sell to interested buyers for a price. I actually bought this unit for HK$180 (rather acceptable), and use it extensively.
This photo was shot by the S700 when I visit my friend's apartment, resized for display.

Are you from Hong Kong? If so, call SE Customer Service Centre, (852)2881-8511. It has been advertised in newspaper.
Like I said before, I bought it elsewhere separately.

Sorry, this stand available in HK ONLY, and there aren't too many around.
Check out my latest posting on two of my dreaded S700. Looks good but.....
Using it now as a radio, MP3 and nothing else.
