Some stat on smartphone sales in Europe/ME/Africa.
The first victim maybe Siemens as their smartphone is rumoured to have been discontinued.
Is the Nokia charge unstoppable?
Your view on it. And what strategy should SE take to avoid its smartphone going the way of Siemens.

Don't call it SX1?
I think the touchscreen approach of

will at least make it last a bit longer thena Siemens, as they were just flogging a dead horse, so to speak.

I think by next year SE will improve a lot on those figures. With the next smartphone models such as the next p series...p1000 or whatever it may be called. Ofcourse nokia will always be a tough competitor with the 9500 and 9300 but i have a feeling the next p series will kickass! i guess a way of doing is that to have all the latest features such as edge, wifi, etc.............

i think there is some market segmentation wrt se smartphone and nokia's. there will a hard core group of people who would always want to buy touchscreen high end.
however, there are also the group of se customer who are "fence sitter" who can go either way. From the stat (at least in Europe), it seems that some of these are crossing over to nokia. nokia is growing rapidly whereas se is stagnant/declining.
if this trend continues, the question is, would SE UIQ (P900/P910) based smartphone be still viable if the volume drop 30-40% over the next couple of years.
