Ok, here's the scenario:
I got in front of me two P900s. One is my own and is fully unbranded and works like a charm. The second one is from my boss and is Vodaphone (Germany) branded (he bought it in Germany with OČ). Now he would like to use the same WAP/GPRS provider as I do (cheaper!).
Now I played around with DIV and a terminator, and this is how far I got:
I cleared the SP locks, reflashed the AVR CPU, and copied my unbranded GDFS file to his branded P900 (since GDFS should cover all provider settings). I did have to rebuild the SP codes because my GDFS is based on a different IMEI than his - if not, it will 'greet you with INVALID SIM Now his P900 works again fine
All Vodaphone crap seems to be gone, but only the damn WAP settings remain Vodaphone, and I can't remove it or undefault it. Also the Vodaphone logo shows up at the webbrowser, and everytime I try to use our preferred GPRS provider (not Vodaphone) it says ACTIVATION REJECTED. (probably because his local SIM card is not accepted to join the vodaphone net, which we don't want anyway!)
So any hints what I can do to kick the last Vodaphone setting out of his P900 so he can surf on the same network as I do.
Is it normal the GDFS backup file is only 1K?? Moving my GDFS on his phone did indeed alter the phones security behaviour, since it asked for the phonelock code of my own P900! So it did work as intended, but AFAIK the GDFS should also contain WAP settings, and these remained
So may the ARM CPU in the P900 have these damn Vodaphone Internet settings embedded? Maybe I overlooked something in DIV? I tried clear SP locks, clear user codes, read SP codes, but to no avail...
Any hints are welcome (maybe what else I could transfer from my phone to the other)

The only part that I can answer on this one is why it says activation rejected. He will have to be on the same network as you to use the same GPRS settings as you.

just go to a CPW and get generic firmware flash a lot easier.

AFAIK, the startup n shutdown video logo, as well as the browser stuff are from the ROM and wont leave you in peace till u flash the whole firmware with an unbranded file...
