Has anyone tried the SE online update service for the K700i yet?
I have the DSS-25 and the phone connects to my pc ok. I went to the update service and installed the update client as recommended. The updater then sits on a page which confirms "Checking the installation of Sony Ericsson Update Service - Please Wait". Not sure what it is doing as it has just installed this. It seems to be stuck and even when left for an hour it does not change.
If I stop the service and restart it from the beginning, it does not try and install the client software again so it must see that the software is now installed. I know it checks that the current update client software to ensure it is the latest one but surely this should not take an hour? It only took 2mins to download as it is
So what can it be doing? I have had a quick look around the forums but cannot find any clues as to what is wrong.
If anyone has done this before and know of something I should be checking or doing, please can you post it here.

Thanks for the help. The thread gave me just the info I needed.....Disable the Firewall installed on my machine. Worked well after that.
