I have a sonyericsson K700i. Rang my friend who is on T-Mobile UK. He has just bought a new T610 PAYG.

As I was ringing him the usual ringing was present, but also a T-Mobile theme song was playing in the background. I tried other people on T-Mobile but only this one did it.

Is it a new simcard feature, or is it on the T610?

Can I do it for O2 UK?

(sorry for the bad explanation)

T-mobile have a service where you can have chart music or other pap noise playing behind the ring ring bit when you ring.
It costs summit like £2.50 a month. Rather cool feature, but a bit of a waste of money

Says more on the t-mobile website

We're the only UK network that lets you play real music over your ringing tone. Put a Caller Tune on your mobile and anyone who calls will hear your favourite song over the 'ring-ring' until you answer. You'll be amazed and amused by their reactions.

This is a new feature called "Caller Tunes" by T-Mobile only, at the moment. It is usually charged, but they are automatically applying it for free for 1 month to all new subscribers.

That's a pretty good idea. Should be free though.

Wish 02 did it. Thanks for the info!

Could you xplain this. Do you hear a melodi instead of the ringtone when you call someone. Is that somekind of T-Mobile jingle? *confused*

thanks for your explanation. Funny thing.
How does it work when the person your calling is busy or rejects your call? Is there another song then?
