Hey all. New on esato so please give me a warm welcome by helping me with my problem.
Got a (branded) Z1010 two days ago and Im already having major problems with it...
The most annoying problem Im having is that themes won't work properly.
Apparently, K700i themes work on the Z1010 as well, and I have tried a few K700i ones but they do not work at all. The problem? Z1010 themes won't work either!!
I have tried tranfering them via IR, bluetooth, I have tried downloading them and I've even had my mate (who has a K700i) send some to my phone via both IR and bluetooth.
Even when I try downloading the "official" ones off the SE wap-site, it won't work. Sure, they download correctly, but do they work? No.
I kept trying to make it work today by doing the whole process (going into the themes folder, selecting the theme) over and over again, and what happens? The sixth time it actually works! I start listening to some mp3s, I wap for a while, and then what happens? It f**ks up again!
When I say that the themes won't work I mean that all the backgrounds are in dodgy colours like grey or black, but there are no pictures as backgrounds.
So what the hell is up with my phone? Phoned up the shop and they told me to come by tomorrow and that they'll give me a new one, Im only worried that my "new" phone will have the same problem ... so therefor, traveling for 3 hours will be a waste of time.
So does anyone know if this is a common problem or is it just my phone?
Another problem Im having is that the phone randomly shuts itself off for no reason at all. It sometimes happens when I listen to mp3s with my headset, and the seconds before it dies, the music stops and all you can hear is a deafening high-pitched sound.
I really hope that someone can help me before I go insane.
Im running the first FW btw. According to my operator, there are no updated FW's at this point.

K700 themes dont works with z10. The dimensions of the statusbar etc. is different.

I have tried both K700 ones and Z1010 ones. None of them work, not even the Z1010, and I have tried more than 10 Z1010 themes (not K700).
