A Friend of mine has a SE K700 connected on Vodafone, but he cannot get the phone to connect to the internet using his GPRS connection. The tech guy at his local Vodafone store, say’s he can’t do it and “if he cant it can’t do it, it can’t be done”! I personally find that a little hard to believe! However the biggest issue my mate travels all over the world on business and uses his phone and it’s GPRS account to connect his Dell laptop to the web for mail’s and surfing albeit via Ir rather than Bluetooth, rather worryingly he is being told by the same “technical Support Guy” at his local store after 2.5 hours of trying! That “I can see no way to set up the K700 to act as a GPRS connection to your laptop using Ir” and “if I cant do it, it cannot be done” He then told him he had spoken to the main data tech staff at Vodafone who also say it cannot be done, I have to say I do not believe this to be correct. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anyone out there who is familiar with the correct configuration settings for a laptop to GPRS connection on Vodafone? And would be prepared to help out?
