Guys,
I need to decide between a bluetooth dongle and a cardwriter and I have no one to help me test the relative pros and cons of these two products. Can someone please try out transferring a 5MB file through bluetooth via the PC to the phone and then transferring the same file from the PC to the phone via the card writer. Which one is faster?
I am looking a the dongle because its more convinient, but dont know how much time it might take to transfer around 120MB from my PC to the card? Or is it just not possible to copy 120MB straight through bluetooth?. I mean do I have to keep moving the files from internal memory to external memory if I use bluetooth?

A card reader is much faster.

It is impossible to copy such a big file (128mg) directly onto the p900 through bluetooth because you can't select where the 'beamed' files go and they automatically go to the c drive, which is 16 megs. So the only answer to you question is the reader. Not to mention that it's much faster.

It's not impossible to transfer a big file from pc to p900 using bluetooth

but it sure is slow. I transfered a 40MB+ file using this method and had to wait _along_ time. So the better choise to transfer large files is using a card reader/writer.
(And to the ones saying it's impossible since C: is small well try using Epocware file manager with it you can beam directly to D: )

Good one, I have the earlier version of that software which doesnt allow me to beam files using bluetooth, only infra red. Gotta get the update.

Bluetooth around 721 kbit/sec, reader (USB 2.0) 480Mbit/sec, reader (USB 1.1) 12 Mbit/s.
All above as stated in specifications.

Dont beam, connect the p9 using bt serial then use filemanager to place directly on d.
