Ok, I am thinking of purchasing Wayfinder for my p900. Only thing is, I am so confused with the software, I've heared so many different ends to it. So I thought I'd ask the questions on here.
Q: If I were to buy just the Wayfinder software without the GPS receiver does it come with maps etc?
Q: How big is the software, meaning do I have to buy a 128mb card for it just to fit on?
Q: I hear the maps are downloaded, this means it will cost, so the software that you buy can't be anything bigger than 1mb?
Q: Can you only use it for 12 months and then it doesn't work?
Q: When Wayfinder is running can you still accept incoming calls and make outgoing calls if you have the HBH-65 Headset?
Q: How good is this software or is it worth byuing an IPAQ and putting TomTom on?
Q: I've looked on the website and see theres many kinds of Wayfinder software, which one would I need ideally.
Any other information on this software I would appreciate.
Thanks!

I'll try to answer some of your questions.
Q: If I were to buy just the Wayfinder software without the GPS receiver does it come with maps etc?
A: It never comes with maps. With Wayfinder with every time you make a new route, it will collect the information from the server so you have the latest information about it. From 5 october on, however, it should be possible to pre-download maps so you can use cached maps.
Q: How big is the software, meaning do I have to buy a 128mb card for it just to fit on?
A: No, it's really a small program. It will even work on the original 32MB card. Even in internal memory it will work I guess.
Q: I hear the maps are downloaded, this means it will cost, so the software that you buy can't be anything bigger than 1mb?
A: I don't understand the question. Maps are downloaded on the fly (or pre-downloaded in new version after 5 Oct).
Q: Can you only use it for 12 months and then it doesn't work?
A: Then you have to renew your subscription.
Q: When Wayfinder is running can you still accept incoming calls and make outgoing calls if you have the HBH-65 Headset?
A: Not on p800 and not on p900. They can only handle 1 BT connection at once.
Q: How good is this software or is it worth byuing an IPAQ and putting TomTom on?
A: Subjective answer, but I love this application. Honestly, it takes a bit time to get used to and if you're in love with birdview maps then you shouldn't choose this one and go for the IPAQ. If you, however, want a good navigation application with always up to date info then this is the one.
Q: I've looked on the website and see theres many kinds of Wayfinder software, which one would I need ideally.
A: I heard from WayFinder that they now call the WayFinder Navigator the WayFinder Euronavigator. It's more a marketing thing. But I guess this is the one you need.

On the WayFinder website they mention a new UIQ version coming on 5th October with new functionalities which in my opinion would make it possible to have better map functionality and the possibility to predownload maps. I guess if you have a big memory card this means that you can, in my case, just store a lot of maps from Holland already on the card and this will save you on GPRS costs. But I am just guessing/hoping and will have to wait till that date.
I hope this helped a bit.

I havent used wayfinder myself but I have used other GPS programs on my P800 using my bluetooth GPS and made a call using my HBH30 at the same time so I dont see why wayfinder wouldnt work at the same time as your HBH65.

@jcwhite
To what I know it is indeed possible to make a call or receive a call using the BT headset, but (for sure) you loose during the call the BT connection with the BT GPS receiver. WayFinder does not correct this automatically, other programs I am not aware off.

Dude, this really helped me, thanks. I think I will go for an IPAQ though. Main reason was cos I don't want two bloody devices in my car to worry about. Wanted one that does it all.

An IPAQ is better if you want to use it for sat nav. Wayfinder is ok but not as good as tomtom and the Ipaq has a bigger screen.

Hopefully if TomTom pull their finger out they may well release TomTom Mobile for the P900/P910 - I know it was demonstrated earlier in the year but for some reason have held off on the release of Mobile for the UIQ platform.

@jcwhite_uk
With my P900 I could not have 2 BT connections. I tried HBH200 and HBH65. But the BT on the P910 is designed for multiple BT connections - and I tested with Emtac GPS.
