> Help! P910 frozen on SE logo only!

My friend just acquired his P910 two weeks ago. He was re-installing all his apps from his P900 when all of a sudden his new phone froze and restarted. Now it is just stuck in the Sony Ericsson logo. He tried taking off the battery and switching sims but still gets the same problem. He tried to contact SE here in US but he was advised to send the phone overseas because SE America doesn't have the software to fix it??? Now he has to send it overseas to get fixed.
Please advise if you have any tips or if you have experienced the same problem.
