I've been an avid Nokia user for the past 5 years now. I personally feel the navigation logic in the Nokia is quite user friendly. Yet, as time goes by, I see less and less tech changes in Nokia phones. Thus, I turn my attention to the new T68 phones. After playing around with my friend's T68, I thought to myself....this phone kicks ass. Thus, I'm currently in the process of getting a T68.

Now, a dilema unfolds. Which T68 should I get? I would like some help on this issue if possible. My biggest concern is, if I get the T68 and upgrade the software to a T68i, would I get all the benefits of a T68i (better color management, picture phonebook, phoenalbum, etc etc)?

I personnally like the T68 design better then the T68i...color scheme's a bit feminine for me. Therefore, I'm leaning towards the orig. T68 (gold). Your comments will be appreciated.....

as discussed earlier here in Esato (use the search) the software in T68i and in an upgraded T68m is identical.... when upgrading a T68m to the MMS software you get exactly the same software as in T68i. So whatever features the T68i have, the T68m get it after the upgrade.

so what phone to choose is more a question of the design but remember that the T68m is discontinued since Mars this year, so it can be hard to get in some places.

Welcome to Esato!

The software is the same.....
The hardware is the same.....
The design is different.... (I prefer Lunar Grey)
Also T68m has a rubber battery rather than T68i which has plastic
If you compare both phones reading Sonyericsson specifications you will notice that T68i has longer stand-by battery time..... I don't know why......Both batterys are identical ( 700 both )

Hey! Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it. About the discontinued T68, this model was just introduced in Thailand about 3 months ago.....I know....but it seems SE marketing was a bit slow to capture the market. There isn't alot of advertising or consumer education about GPRS or BLUETOOTH technology or even MMS here. It's a bit dissapointing at time when everyone outside of Thailand are enjoying the new phone tech while I have to wait for it to get here....again, thanks for your help.

probably because T68i has several hardware improvments compaired to T68m... T68i has a newer display (version R3A while T68m display is R1A) and some other compontent changes has probably made the longer standby
