> t610 through a washingmachine

i have a t610 that had a trip through a washer...
now when i boot it, the ericsson sound comes, and the screen lights up "dark", any have this happen, how did you solve?

hmm.. must be the cleanest 610 around!
try making a call to a number near you... this is to confirm that the motherboard and stuff is working and only the screen is busted.
but.. how did it get into the washing machine in the first place?

I suggest you take the phone apart and put it somewhere dry, perhaps put a hairdryer on the internals (CAREFULLY!) from a distance.
Although the phone is somewhat working now, components will corrode over a couple of weeks and you may suddenly find the phone not powering up at all!

Its not my phone, i was given it by the owner since it didn't work, put it in an oven at 50 degrees for about an hour...
just trying to get it functional at little cost...

I generally find when i take things out of my washing line, that the tumble dryer or washing line (on a sunny day) is the best for drying things out.

A 50 deg oven isnt the best way to solve the problem, more u could cause damage. It could get healed for some days or weeks, but the chance that it will die is pretty high.
