Hi all,
So my decision to either get the S700 or the P910i was finally made a few day's ago. I went for the P910i and am very happy. I have to say it is such an amazing phone, everything is on there. As i have never owned a PDA before especially not a quality SE i need some help if possible.
1) Ok i was wondering the battery life on this phone is supposed to be pretty good, however my battery nearly finishes in under a day. I know this isnt realy a question but i was wondering if anyone else had this problem?
2) This ringtone thing is realy bugging me, i dont realy want to go threw my phonebook and put it the desired ringtune for it. I was wondeirng if there is any way of setting it so the same ringtune play's for every contact?
3)I accidentaly deleted about 30 pictures of my phone, is there anyay of retreiving these, i did do a backup on the computer of the phone before these got deleted?
4) How can i view my pictures on the computer, i have tried using the Image editor but had no luck?

Thankyou very much if you can help, there is alot to figure out on this amazing phone. Now i realise what all the hype is about i found it so surreal holding it as i had researched for months, but it was definatly worth the wait, this phone is incredible!

hmm...the standard answer for all your questions would be if you search the forum you'll get all your answers...anyways since I share your enthusiasm for the P910 here goes what I know:

1) The battery improves after a few charges follow the charging routine mentioned here in the forum, also might be that you are playing too much with the new phone so the battery life such

2) open flap - control panel - Sounds & alerts...there you go change to whatever ringtone in ring voice...

3) restore the backup...

4) dint get what you're asking...

look around in the forum you'll fingd the phone does much more than you think...go all the way back in the Pxxx forums everything that P800/900 does so does the P910... & go thru the faqs they are really helpfull but in general & this forum...

3) don´t have to restore it. Backup file (a .ecs one) is a simple zip file. Open it with any zipapp, then flip through its content and move the files back you need.
4) If you´re in the zip, you can use your regular picapp. The 'active' pics can be accessed with explorer, but you have to copy them to your pc before viewing.

1) just a comment on battery life on the first day, and actually the first few days, my P800 and P910 both ran out very quickly. one reason was you do need a few recharge cycles to achieve full battery performance. but more importantly, on the first day you're usually too damned excited about the phone that you can't stop fiddling with it and use up the battery much faster than you normally would!

4) to send files to your PC, you could simply beam them over by BT or IR, or when the phone is on the cradle, open up windows explorer or any file manager app and the phone should be listed on the directory tree. then it's just a simple drag and drop to move files around.

enjoy your new toy. it really is the best!

I use my P900 so intensively that the battery must be charged every night, in the evening i normaly got 20 - 0% left.

If i only use the phone for some calls the battery lasts for a week. As there already already been said so does your battery improve in power after some charges but if you are using your phone the way many of us do you maybe get to charge it every evenin.

There's many ways to improve battery life, search here on Esato or ask again if you have questions.
