> Is my K700i's camera broken?
Bookmark topic
Hello,
I'd just want to know if any of you K700i owners are also experiencing "noisy" images.
Example...
Same subject, taken by my fiancee who was sitting beside me, using a Nokia 7250...
Notice the "noise" in the first picture? It gets even worse when I use nightshot mode.
I currently have the R2L firmware installed too. Could my problem be hardware related?
Thanks for any info.
Allan
Ps, more examples of noisy pictures.

maybe ur quality settings arent at their highest (probably best to wait for a reply from a person with a K700)

I recognise that. I had a K700 with the same problem. My pictures became "noisy" and very much like yours very bad. i got my K700 replaced by a new one and it's better. But the phone is realy sensitive to movement when taking pictures and bad lightning conditions.

I'm afraid that's the problem with many camera phones! My K700 is also susceptible to these 'noisy' images, especially in anything but natural light. Even in bright artificial light I've found that images can come out noisy.
Night mode is terrible for this too! It's often best to either not bother with night mode and try without it, or try to get more light on the subject.

Yeah, I recognise this "noise" also. It's a k700 feature. One way to reduce the grain is reduce the image resolution. Instead of shooting 640x480, drop it to 320x240, it helps quite a bit. Forget night mode, doesn't help at all.

Thanks guys. So, is my camera "normal" or should I ask for a replacement? Thanks again.
