Hi.

I am currently using Agile Messenger on my P900 - really good app

Has anyone used ICQ for UIQ? Is it a good app? I saw a picture online that showed a P900 using ICQ for UIQ with the flip closed - is this possible? Also wondering if it makes a sound when someone logs on or off (Agile doesn't).

Please post any info on ICQ for UIQ here. Much appreciated!

Thanx.

Ok, just bought ICQ for UIQ. Has the basics - seems pretty stable too. A nice thing is that you can even search for people just like on your PC. Also uses VERY little data flow - about 1 or 2 kb to log on (compared to 6 or 7 with agile) and only uses about 4 kb an hour to stay logged on!
One problem: doesn't semm to make a sound when someone logs on (like with IM+). I think it's supposed to because the log on sound file is in the program's folder on my phone. Anyone know ho to fix this? (my sounds are turned on).
All and all, semms like a good product. Will use it for a while - if it gives problems, I'll post it here.

Can you give a link to the ICQ app you are talking about?

Ok found it but there was no demo I think. Is it working fine in FC mode?

Sorry, doesn't work with the flip closed (unfortunately) - the picture is misleading. Still a good app though. I now have IM+, Agile Messenger and ICQ for UIQ on my phone.

Nice features about them:
IM+ vibrates and makes a sound for incoming messages. Also makes a sound (no vibrate) for ppl logging in.
Agile vibrates and makes a sound for incoming messages. Best looking. Can send pics & voice.
ICQ for UIQ allows real searches for ppl (by name, lastname, nick, e-mail or UIN).

Hmm the picture was very missleading. Can you make a random search for a chat partner? Is it possible to search for different categories of people, like from a specific country, age, male and female?

You're right, the picture is very misleading.

No, can't search for a random person. You can search for someone by name though. You could search for, say, all the Sarahs that are online. It will give their basic info - name, last name, nick, e-mail, age and sex. Hope this helps
