Just a quick question (I have not received my p800 yet...) Does the phone's desktop USB cradle charge the phone? As in, when on the cradle does the phone still run off battery power, or is it charged?

It charges the fone aslong connected, but slower as usually and i wouldnt suggest it, cos charging and using ( calls, surfing, pc con ) the fone in the same time doesnt like the batt and the performance later isnt good.

Some usb does it. The best ones are with an extra plug on it for the charger, so u can choose if u wanna charge or not.

I've not seen any P-Series cradle that charges via USB. However they all have a port to which you can attach a charger.
That is better than charging by USB because you can still place the phone on charge without turning the PC on.

I mean you can charge the phone anytime anywhere as long as you have connected a normal charger to the port on the bottom on the cradle, this does not need a PC

Thanks, my question is answered. Basically, I still need my wall charger in order to charge the phone, whether through the cradle, or straight to the phone. Thanks for all the help,

@miklsp oh, got it. Anyway, i do noticed when i used cable and r520, even i just pluged to pc, the standbytime reduced autom, but at disconnecting the fone returned to normal.

Thanks.I have had my P 900 a week and I didnt notice it.
Now I am charging in the cradle.
