Is it me or can everyone notice how SonyEricsson seems to be doing the same as Nokia in terms of having a million features but spreading them across many phones! I mean I alway wondered why the the T68 never had polyphonic ringtones and I knew they would bring it out on their next version. I was right! The T300 looks like it has it plus java downloadable apps, but then they get rid of the bluetooth capability. And to add insult, it also has interchangable covers! Strange that it has been classed as a lower spec phone! Furthermore the MCA25 camera has limited functionality on a t68i and more on the T300! Im confused!

Is this to make people buy different model but no one can say they have a handset that does everything? Like I said, its the same at the Nokia camp!

I think you are absolutely right. I recently purchased an SE T68i after spending nearly three years with Nokia. The problem I was faced with then as soon as I bought a new phone a week or two later Nokia will release five new models with different features. As you can imagine I was annoyed as I bought the Nokia 6310 and three weeks later they released Nokia 6310i. Thats why I migrated over to SE. Now it seems I am headed for a de ja vous.

Saying that, I still feel the the T68i has got a lot of features that I need, but still I would like a handset with all the features and manufacturers to make it (releasing of new models with different specs) less confusing for their customers

Until the P800 will be released the T68i still rules over the new lot and that includes the T200,T300 and the T600 they are cheaper versions of the T68i so until the P800 is out the T68i is Number 1 as a phone (Thats my opinion) Personally i dont like the new T200.300.600 as phones i think they are BUTT ugly

I agree I was a Nokia fan through and through until recently I got sick of them bringing out the same kind of model, same OS and same features. This made me turn to SE T68i which I thought was a revolutionary new phone and features. I do still think that but SE should try and stay focused now.

Just wait for P800. Then you will get everything you could ever wish for in a mobile phone

Still not sure about the P800 membrane type keypad, but must agree it does look quite promising and then the who software upgrade postings will no doubt resurface when a p800i comes out! hahahaha

Incidently, Im getting my t68 right now as i type this, well looking forward to the new software!

I think the reason I've posted this, was to voice my concern about how manufacturers are releasing too many handsets and all at the same time but spreading funtionality across them so they will have more phones sold as no one can have all the features on one phone! and the speed new phones are coming out now are ridicolous!

Look at it this way: The T68 was released almost a year before t300 - you cant expect it to have all the functions that the t300 has. At the same time, the t300 is a low cost phone, which cannot be required to have all the goodies that the t68 has. You must compare the t68 with the next _high_level_ phone that comes out. Those new SE phones don't have the appeal of T68 and T68i, they look ugly to me. T600 probably looks better compare to 2 other new T models.

No phone company will ever release every function on one phone, it'll cost to much, it would take too long to make and would probably be huge.

It would be cheaper and more profitable to spread the different functions on a load of phones so people will keep on buying different phones. Imagine if the T68 was completly perfect, it had every function and not one flaw, no one would ever need to buy another phone and SE would go bankrupt.

I'll admit I find it annoying that the T68 doesn't have all the features I want, but thats life, nothing is perfect.
