> SE V800 availability and price?

The V800 WILL be my next phone. I keep on returning to websites with pictures of the V800. The V800 looks beautiful (black and silver), and the stats look great. The first clamshell from SE that actually looks awesome!
Anyone know when it will be available to the general public sim-free(non-Vodaphone)? How will it be priced (approximate)?
My K700i days are numbered...
If I were you, I would skip the S700i (ugly and not worth it).

I'm very much inclined to agree with you. However, vodafone has a say in how long the V800 will be exclusive to them. I would not be surprised if that would be till after Xmas.
Pure speculation on my part though, no facts!

Heres question if docomo have this phone just imagine how long would it take to provide roaming all over the world. So im wondering do they have roaming or this will be provided only for vodafone version. And which 3g band voda and docomo uses? Thanx.

V800 is an nice phone, and i like it alot. But i will never buy an branded phone, and specialy not from Vodafone. I hope Sony Ericsson show us an unbranded version of this phone and i will buy it.
My option is that we souldn't suport branded phones, specialy not vodaphone. the icon is crap. Even if it look nice with the full animated theme i bet that the "orginal" will look much better and you are not locked to only use vodafone pictuers and all other stupid things they put in.
wanna have an real sonyericsson phone, better wait. My friend who work at sonyericsson hate the vodafone crap. but he say it business and it are an way for them to earn more mony.

The only thing that puts me off the V800 atm is the screen resolution in comparison to the S700's, and the large size of the phone.
Most sites reporting on the V800 reckon it'll be Vodaphone exclusive for the first 2-3 months. Usually, the general reckoning is correct.

if my kanji translation skills haven't fail me, according to the specs table in the voda.jp site, V802SE is WCDMA only within japan and WCDMA+GSM for the international market.
hmmmm.....
